My half of a trade with my pal Para. This character was fun, and I'm pleased with how it turned out! I played with the coloring a little, I know I can still push my coloring further, I'm just scared to mess things up.

My first time coloring lightning. I think it went pretty well.

Character Sacrifice belongs to :iconlacerations:

This is freakin' amazing! The way you do your anatomy is just mind blowing now. And not only that but your traditional skills with coloring makes me jealous because it almost has a watercolor feel to it which is really freakin' cool. And I just really like the nose and those ears... you pulled this off so well.

It's original, but thats all i'll say about the matter...
awww! Thank you! Too bad the only things I can draw that have decent anatomy are canine type things.

But to get the look I do to my markers, I think it is because I go over everything with the blending marker. gives it a neat texture.

Thanks again!

I totally have a blending marker but never learned how to use it x_x I'm gonna have to give it a go. How exactly do you use it? Do you put all your colors down first and then go over it with the blender? I'm assuming the colors all still need to be wet on the paper...

most of the time how I color with markers is I work very fast so everything blends before it dries. So I kinda have to plan out everything in my head before I put it down. So after I have everything down, to make sure it all blends I go over it all with the blender in an attempt to make everything flow together a bit smoother. Or if I want to rework a spot, or add on somewhere, I will go over it with the blender first to moisten it again so the new colors will blend a bit better.

Hope that made sense and maybe helps a bit more. Just takes some playing around.

Awesome thank you! I'll have to play around trying that. I typically work really fast with my markers too that way they blend together. =)

I love how you color this one- the greys look very nice- and the highlights. :Ddededeee
